These loaded deviled eggs are so addicting and a hit at any party!
We decided to make these for our house warming party and also take them to a friend's Easter party -- each time they were demolished. This is a sour cream based mixture for the yolk, which I had never tried prior, and it adds an interesting twist to the deviled eggs we all grew up on! Not only is this recipe super easy but it is also extremely affordable to make -- and have extra that you leave at home when you don't want to share! *Shhhh*

This recipe will make 24 halves in total, so should you want more you could always double it! Cook time involves about an hour and a half from start to finish. Honestly the longest part of it is the boil time and the chill time in the fridge after -- you could easily do those steps the night before if you were pressed for time! Everything you'll need to 'make it a party' is listed below!
Loaded Deviled Eggs:

Ingredients:
  • 12 large eggs, hard boiled, cooled & halved
  • 1 bag of bacon bits
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh chives
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons of white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to your liking
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon sour cream (based on your taste)
  • Paprika
  • Chopped cilantro
Instructions:
  1. Boil your eggs for roughly 15 mins. I immediately run them under cool water once I take them off the stove just to make them tolerable to hold. While they're still very warm, remove the shell(comes off much easier this way), rinse well, and put them into the fridge still whole to chill for 15-30 mins.
  2. Cut the eggs in half and use a spoon to remove the egg yolks. Place all of the yolks into a mixing bowl. Mash the yolks down with a fork.
  3. Add in bacon bits, chives, vinegar, Dijon mustard, sharp cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Mix.
  4. Add the sour cream last and use more as needed to reach desired smoothness.
  5. Spoon the yolk mixture back into the egg halves. Pile it high.
  6. Sprinkle lightly: paprika, shredded cheese, bacon bits, & cilantro
There you have it! Enjoy!
